The point of individualism is to not impose your beliefs or collective ideas on others. Particularly to make your beliefs law under governments who have authority and military power to impose that will on others. Imposing gender ideology, or transhumanism or anything, on others is a form of collectivism not individualism. It seems he has gotten things backwards. As if a person has the authority to impose their beliefs on others without a collective or government. It's like it is a given that individualism creates pathological ideas and behaviors that spread to others. Almost reasonable except for it takes collectives to impose that on anyone. Basically he is saying new ideas are dangerous and shouldn't be permitted. Some new ideas are dumb and some new ideas are not. This is a nonsensical view. Personally I disagree with most people. Hence I want individualism so I don't have to conform to pathological collectivist thinking. He is dismissing the potential of every individual to make judgments and rationalize for themselves. As if he isn't wearing a suit and conducting himself in accordance to new ways of being, cut off from the past.... His new ideas are special, others new ideas are poisonous.... To be an individualist does not mean to abandon ones humanity, that's an absurd conflation. Some people might not want to be human or think it's a flexible term. it can be said for collectivism as well, like most communist governments that demand you to relinquish your identity in favor of the state or leader. It's the same betrayal of one's humanity and is not unique to individualism or collectivism. It's just wordy nonsense that applies to both sides and doesn't establish an argument or rational. Maybe it's just a language thing. He seems to be attacking collectivism and says individualism instead. I'm 34 years old. These terms, many terms, have adopted new meanings and definitions in my own life time. It's very understandable that words mean something very different to Alek. We might be on exactly the same page yet terms and meanings have evolved or been perverted in a way we don't see each other yet we are face to face, metaphorically speaking. I like tucker but it's a ridiculous concept that he's an open-minded liberal.... The whole concept of an open-minded liberal is a ridiculous concept to begin with. They're anything but open-minded. Tucker is a devout Christian that won't even consider listening to any ideas that conflict with his religious views. That's not open-minded. I'm not saying that you can't be religious and a liberal, but they don't mix very well... A liberal is usually more spiritually open minded than your typical Christian. The typical American liberal has always been somewhat Marxist and more so today than ever before. I enjoyed listening to Dugin and appreciate Tucker having him on his show but Tucker really needs to stop gloating about being a "classical liberal" just because he smoked some weed and listened to the Grateful Dead when he was young.
